Wie heeft een LEI nodig in Nederland?
In principe heeft elke juridische entiteit (zoals een BV, NV, stichting of vereniging) die handelt in financiële instrumenten zoals aandelen, obligaties of derivaten een LEI nodig om te voldoen aan de Europese regelgeving (zoals MiFID II).
Hoe lang is een LEI-code geldig?
Een LEI-registratie is geldig voor een specifieke periode. Om de code actief te houden en te blijven voldoen aan de rapportageverplichtingen, moet de LEI periodiek worden vernieuwd vóór de vervaldatum.
Wat gebeurt er als ik mijn LEI niet vernieuw?
Als een LEI verloopt, krijgt deze de status ‘Lapsed’. Veel banken en financiële instellingen mogen volgens de wet geen transacties meer uitvoeren voor entiteiten met een verlopen LEI. Dit kan uw handelsactiviteiten tijdelijk blokkeren.
Hoe kan ik een LEI aanvragen of overdragen?
