About LEI registration
A Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a 20-character code under ISO 17442 that identifies your company, fund or trust in financial transactions. Banks, brokers and regulators ask you to register an LEI before you can trade, report or settle, under rules including MiFIR, EMIR and SFTR in Europe and equivalent regimes worldwide.
An LEI is valid for twelve months and must be renewed to stay active. A lapsed LEI stops working for regulatory reporting, which is why we offer multi-year registration up to five years: one order, a lower price per year, and no annual renewal to remember.
